# Session planner

> Plan a night before you pack the car — nightly score, ranked targets, and saved sessions.

The planner is the first page you see after signing in. Pick a date and a
saved location, and Nebyoulous scores the night from the conditions that decide
whether it's worth setting up.

## Nightly score

The score is a weighted blend of six conditions, taken from the
[Open-Meteo](https://open-meteo.com/) forecast and the sun and moon positions.
Cloud cover counts most:

| Condition | What it measures |
| - | - |
| Cloud cover | Average forecast cloud over the night. |
| Moon impact | Illumination and how high the moon is. |
| Astronomical darkness | Hours of astronomical darkness. |
| Seeing (est.) | A rough estimate from wind speed, not a measurement. |
| Wind speed | Wind that shakes the rig. |
| Humidity / dew risk | Average humidity, as a stand-in for dew risk. |

The planner shows each condition's own score next to the total, so you can see
what is holding a night back.

## Ranked targets

Nebyoulous ranks deep-sky objects for the night so you can see what's well placed
before you commit. The target you pick is the same one you will
[sync into an integration set](/workspace/integration-sets), shoot with a
[rig](/workspace/gear), and later [publish](/workspace/posts).

## Saved sessions

Bookmark nights, attach targets, and reopen the details when conditions change.
Saved sessions live on a calendar so the plan and the capture stay linked to the
same night.
