Gear in Nebyoulous is two lists that stay separate on purpose. Gear is each piece of equipment you own. A rig is one way you combine those pieces for a night. Open Gear in the web app. The page has two tabs: Rigs and Gear.

Add a piece of gear

On the Gear tab, add an item. Each item has: The same camera can belong to more than one rig. Edit an item from the gear list. Archive hides it from new rigs and leaves the rigs that already include it alone. Delete a rig from the rig page when you no longer use that combination. The gear items stay in your library.

Build a rig

A rig is a named profile: a description plus an ordered list of gear items. Each member can carry an optional role, such as “imaging camera” or “guide scope”, when the category alone is not enough. On the Rigs tab, create a profile, give it a name, and pick the items that go out together. Reorder them so the rig reads the way you describe the setup. Open a rig later to change the name, the description, or the members.
Keep one rig per optical train you actually use. A widefield rig and a narrowband rig can share the mount and still stay distinct.

Attach a rig to a night

Gear does not attach itself to frames. On an integration set, open Gear profiles, check the rigs that shot that target, mark one as the Primary profile, and save. When you publish a post linked to that set, the rig travels with the image. You do not retype the telescope and camera into the write-up.
